Know how the start, finish, and controls are marked on the map

Description

When starting out, it is important that orienteers (of any age) know how the course is marked on their map.

  • The start is marked by a pink/purple triangle.
  • Each control is marked by a pink/purple circle (and typically with a control number near it)
  • The finish is marked by a double pink/purple circle (two concentric rings)
