Reaching out to the control as you approach it

Description

This is a small specific component of 'punching technique' or how to approach, punch and leave a control for optimal 'flow' through the control. Reaching out to the control as you approach it is minor skill but an important one if you want to efficiently punch the control and move on to the next leg. Reaching out with the hand holding your timing chip and punch the control as you step up to it and past can, with experience, allow you to punch the control without breaking your stride.
